While acknowledging the incident as a natural occurrence, he, therefore, advises residents of the state to obtain building permits from relevant authorities before erecting structures to avoid the loss of lives and property.

The committee chairman sympathized with the affected victims and assured them of federal and state government intervention in terms of relief materials, as well as finding medium- and long-term solutions to the menace.

Uba Sani’s Education Record Unmatched — Aminu Zaria

Uba Sani’s Education Record Unmatched — Aminu Zaria

Alhaji Aminu Zaria, a close associate of Governor Uba Sani, has commended the governor’s remarkable achievements in access to education for the poor and improving school enrolment across Kaduna State.

He praised the recent partnership between the Kaduna government and UNICEF, which aims to reintegrate 200,000 out-of-school children into the formal education system.

Zaria highlighted the governor’s commitment to providing marginalized groups, especially children, with the support they need, including a conducive learning environment.

He further stressed that these efforts are transforming the state’s educational landscape, ensuring more children have access to quality education, which will positively impact the future of Kaduna’s youth.

He recalled that the governor had earlier reduced the cost of access to education at the higher institutions’ level, for the first time in the history of the state.

According to him, Uba Sani’s administration has made inclusive education a priority, creating a foundation for sustainable development.

The ongoing initiatives, he noted, reflect the governor’s long-term vision of empowering the younger generation and equipping them with the skills necessary for a better future.

Aminu Lawal Anty: Spreading the Dividends of Democracy‌

Aminu Lawal Anty: Spreading the Dividends of Democracy

The member kaduna state house of assembly representing Doka/Gabasawa Constituency, Hon. Aminu Lawal Anty, empowerment programme has been generally described as the mother of all empowerment initiatives.

One common trend associated with seekers of elective positions in the nations polity is their penchant to make all manner of promises during their campaigns to the electorate in order to win their sympathy and get their votes during elections.

However, it is a general belief that after getting the mandate of the people most of the politicians never keep to the promises they made to the electorate while campaigning.

Cases abound where constituents have complained that their elected representatives have never visited their constituencies since they were elected into the legislative.

So, for constituents who have had the experience of their representatives not returning home, even frequently as expected, their conclusion is that they have no representation or representative, in reality, except in name.

However, some of the elected lawmakers still maintain close relationship with their constituents; render to them the necessary extra-legislative services.

The representative of Doka/Gabasawa Constituency, Hon. Aminu Lawal Anty, seems to belong to the latter category of elected politicians.

Within his constituency, Aminu is reputed to be one of the lawmakers from the state that makes out time, periodically, to visit those he is representing at the grassroots, to consult with them, and supply them with some droplets of what is generally referred to as economic empowerment.

The legislature previous programmes brought the number of beneficiaries from his benevolent representation to over 500 since he became a state lawmaker in 2023.

Aminu’s empowerment programme was in fulfilling the promise he made to his people while campaigning, and seeking their support, ahead of the election to the states Assembly in 2023.

Almost immediately after he was inaugurated with his colleagues as a member of the state House of Assembly, Aminu gave indication that he was serious about giving his people the much needed economic support so, they can fend for themselves, and in the process improve the general economic environment of the constituency.

Consequently, he introduced some special socio-economic enhancement schemes to his constituents, among them; (scholarship), bursary for indigent students in post-primary and tertiary institutions, free computer training programme, entrepreneurial training for youths, and micro-finance facilities for farmers and traders, vocational training for youths and widows, free medical outreach to aged and the less-privileged, and Christmas outreach.

For instance no fewer than 100 youths, male and female; have benefited from skills acquisition programmes sponsored by the lawmaker. At the end of the training, the young men and women would be provided with finical backups

To the 100 youths are at least over 200 youths and women, especially widows who have been provided with sewing and grinding machines, generators and driers by the lawmaker, since they had already acquired the necessary skills in various areas.

Through his recommendation, Aminu Anty has also facilitated the employment of hundreds of people from the Doka/Gabasawa constituency into kaduna state civil service, Police, etc.

So far, over 1000 people have benefited from the Aminu Anty’s empowerment programme valued at millions of naira since 2023.

However, his recent empowerment progarmmes has been described as mother of all empowerment because of the number of Materials, cash and other life-enhancing items he generously gave to members of the business community, farmers, market women, traders, youths , and some politicians in the constituency.

So, Aminu Anty is paying back for the people who voted massively for him. He came to give back what they gave him in 2023 because he’s only holding the power on their behalf.

What I have done here today cannot be compared to what they have done for me, but this is just the beginning, the best of me is yet to come.

Aminu Anty empowerment programme has raised the bar, especially for a first-timer in the House of Assembly. I can tell you that governor Senator Uba Sani is happy, and impressed that the people who voted him into the legislation are actually the direct beneficiaries.

From what is happening, any elected representative that does not perform well will be voted out. This office is held in trust for the people and our elected officials need to report to the people as the office is not a personal thing.

Faduri faults LP stakeholders meeting, calls it Obedient meeting

Faduri faults LP stakeholders meeting, calls it Obedient meeting

Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, a Former Presidential Aspirant in the Labour Party (LP )and leader Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, has stated that the Labour Party (LP) has the opportunity to reorganize and win the next election, but if they can’t get their house in order, then they can’t ask Nigerians to take them serious.

“The more we have cracks in the system the easier for opposition to use us against us,” he added.

He said that he watched in array how the Governor of Abia State Otti put together a Stakeholders meeting with Mr. Peter Obi and waited to see who attended the meeting.

According to him in a statement, “First and foremost, everyone in attendance was only Mr. Obi and his people, and secondly, there was no member of the outgoing leadership from both factions in attendance, which call for questions, who and who did Gov. Otti invite to the Meeting?”

“Thirdly, why would such a highly sensitive meeting be done in Abia and not Abuja to centralise the meeting and on what constitutional authority does Gov Otti have to convene such a sensitive meeting? This brings me to the lack of leadership from Mr Peter Obi, who is supposed to be the one calling for such meetings and making sure all stakeholders are there, not obedient holders only.”

“Let’s be clear. I’m not a fan of Mr Abure nor in support of Alhaji Apapa, but the fact is you can not conduct such a sensitive meeting without making sure the excos whose tenure expires are also carried along in such meeting.”

“Many of us who are stakeholders and that contested with Mr Peter Obi never got an invitation .for such meeting, so what modus operandi did organisers of that meeting used to call for that high stake meeting? Definitely, any resolutions emanating from that meeting are null and void from the beginning, and illegality is not a remedy for illegality,” he stated.

He explained that the deep wound that the party is suffering from now is a result of an alleged lack of leadership from Peter Obi who could have stopped the bleeding abnitio when the crisis started then called both Abure and Apapa together to reconcile their differences then moved the party towards oneness.

”But instead allowed the party to crash itself from within, the same man now hiding under a Governor to broker a truce.

Sadly it won’t still work not even when the parties involved in the crisis are left out, if we will be moving from one litigation to another, from one court order to another so if we want to do anything at all to fix this party why don’t we just do it right for once and show the people of Nigeria we can organize and lead.”

“We have the opportunity to reorganize and win the next election, but if we can’t get our house in order, then we can’t ask Nigerians to take us seriously and the more we have cracks in the system the easier for opposition to use us against us.

I stand to want LP to move forward, but we must do it the right way.
Gov Otti has done well. He meant well for the party, not just done the right way.

Long live Labour Party. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
