Buratai : Ladoja’s Ascension As 44th Olubadan is A Blessing To Yoruba Nation

Buratai : Ladoja’s Ascension As 44th Olubadan is A Blessing To Yoruba Nation

Former Chief of Army Staff and Nigeria’s immediate past Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd), CFR, has joined millions of Nigerians and the Yoruba nation in congratulating Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arọṣọ I) on his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a heartfelt royal tribute, Buratai described the ascension of the former Oyo State Governor as a moment of divine alignment that reflects wisdom, resilience, and cultural pride for the ancient city of Ibadan and the entire Yoruba race.

“Your Majesty’s illustrious career as a chemical engineer, entrepreneur, statesman, and former governor stands as a shining legacy of resilience and forthrightness. Indeed, your coronation marks an unprecedented moment in history, as the first civilian governor in the Southwest to ascend such a revered traditional stool. Your reign brings enduring peace, unity, and prosperity not only to Ibadanland but to the Yoruba nation and Nigeria at large,” Buratai wrote.

The retired General, who holds the prestigious titles of Aare Akinrogun of Ibadanland, Betara of Biu, and Garkuwan Keffi, emphasized that Oba Ladoja’s enthronement was not only historic but also symbolic, having been born in 1944 and now ascending the throne as the 44th Olubadan. He described this rare coincidence as “divine symbolism that reflects destiny, wisdom, and royal grace.”

Buratai further prayed that the reign of Oba Ladoja will be blessed with good health, peace, and divine guidance, noting that the monarch’s wisdom and experience would inspire Ibadanland to greater heights of development, cultural pride, and harmony.

The coronation, held amidst pomp, pageantry, and traditional splendour, was attended by dignitaries, royal fathers, political leaders, and well-wishers from across Nigeria and the diaspora. For the people of Ibadan, it was not just the installation of a new king but the dawn of a new era.

Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, fondly remembered for his tenure as governor of Oyo State (2003–2007), is widely respected for his simplicity, forthrightness, and people-oriented leadership. His new role as Olubadan places him at the helm of Ibadan’s traditional institution, making him both a custodian of Yoruba culture and a symbol of unity for Ibadanland.

As drums rolled and chants of “Kabiyesi o!” filled the air, Buratai’s words captured the mood of the moment:

“Kabiyesi, may the crown endure on your head, may the royal slippers remain on your feet, and may the horsetail (symbol of authority) never depart from your hand. Ase!”

With Oba Ladoja’s coronation, Ibadanland looks forward to a reign marked by peace, progress, and prosperity under the guiding hand of its new monarch.

He stated that the nation’s seaports efficiency have contributed to a 19.6% growth in non-oil exports in the first half of 2025.

“The NPA is using smart digitalisation to achieve lean and green operations. We’ve deployed a new electronic barrier system at all Lagos Port Complex terminals to improve traffic and control access. Beyond Words: The Enduring Impact of REV DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN.

Beyond Words: The Enduring Impact of REV DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN.

BY DR. MALAM MAGAJIN MALAM KHALIFA 2KALA RIGASA KADUNA STATE

Politics is a game of strategy, influence, and credibility. In Kaduna, REV DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN name commands attention, not because of loud proclamations, but due to the tangible impact of his work.

Those who attempt to undermine him inadvertently validate his significance, as no one invests effort in discrediting someone who doesn’t matter.

REV DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN, prominence in Kaduna politics is a result of years of dedicated service and genuine investment in the people. His approach to politics is built on consistency and a commitment to progress, rather than fleeting promises or temporary handouts. Despite concerted efforts to discredit him, his influence continues to grow.

Claims of disloyalty are misguided. True loyalty in politics means prioritizing the people who entrusted a leader with their votes and future. REV DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN recognizes this, maintaining a strong connection with his constituents beyond election cycles. His focus on empowering the people is not a liability, but a testament to his leadership.

The notion that empowering his people is a hazardous game is a misconception. Giving back to the community is a fundamental aspect of leadership, and it’s not REV. DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN fault that his generosity and impact make others appear inadequate.

As for speculation about 2027, it’s premature to worry If REV. DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN chooses to contest, it will be because he has proven himself worthy, not out of entitlement. In a democracy, power is acquired through the people’s mandate, not political maneuvering.

Ultimately, no amount of misinformation or concerted attacks can alter the truth. REV. DR BENJAMIN MAMMAN is a powerhouse in Kaduna politics, and his impact stems from real labor, devotion, and leadership. Those threatened by his rising fame would be better advised to focus on their own contributions rather than trying to downplay his. The people are watching, and in politics, as in life, truth prevails.

Nigeria, Our Reality and Our Responsibility-Faduri Oluwadare Joseph aka Fadojoe

Nigeria, Our Reality and Our Responsibility
-Faduri Oluwadare Joseph aka Fadojoe

I laughed when I read on social media how Nigerian youths wished for the kind of resistance seen in Nepal to also happen here. But what many forget is that the youths and people of Nepal are not as delusional, greedy, and shortsighted as many Nigerians have become today.

We are led by leaders who understand one bitter truth: every Nigerian has a price.
When voices rise against injustice, those in power quickly identify the leaders of such movements, lure them with money, divide the group with weaklings among them, and the struggle dies a natural death. That is why what happened in Nepal can hardly happen in Nigeria. Too many Nigerians cannot resist a little temptation of money or power—greed, corruption, and shortsightedness continue to enslave us.

Let us be honest: the leaders we have today are a reflection of who we are as a people. These leaders did not fall from the sky; they came from among us. We keep shouting about bad leaders, yet we hail them when we see them. We want a good country, but when we visit politicians, we beg for money instead of demanding accountability. Some even go as far as “handing the nation over to God” in prayers, but refuse to participate in elections or in choosing the right leaders.

Until we look inward—until we overcome our greed, our poverty-driven mindset, and the corrupt mentality that politicians exploit to buy our votes and our conscience for as little as ₦5,000—we will not have the country we dream of. What we have now is a jungle, where survival is like hell in a cell, and the most powerful take it all.

An average Nigerian wants a good nation, but is not ready to sacrifice even a little comfort or greed to achieve it. But we cannot have it both ways. We must decide: what kind of nation do we truly want, and what sacrifices are we willing to make to build it?

Nigeria must be ready to endure the pain of forcing a generational shift of leadership—from the same old recycled politicians to a new political breed committed to rescuing our nation from this mess. I, Faduri Oluwadare Joseph (Fadojoe), a former Presidential Aspirant under the Labour Party, represent such a leadership change. I often describe Nigeria as “A nation that has everything, but lacks everything.”

We have all it takes to be one of the greatest nations on Earth, yet today we are the laughingstock of the world—in politics, governance, sports, medicine, and virtually every field of leadership. These leaders have failed us. Now, it is the people of Nigeria who must design their own rescue—not necessarily through protests or violence, but through the most powerful tool left in our hands: the power of our vote.

Until we realize how powerful our voting power is, Nigeria will remain where it is. But I still believe: someday, we will rise again and take our rightful place in the world.

I remain Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, a leader committed to seeing Nigeria rescued and rebuilt—a New Nigeria where:

Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, and all ethnic groups will unite to build a nation, not run a jungle.

Leaders will serve national interest, not personal pockets.

Citizens will believe in building, not cheating one another to survive.

Youths will be industrious and useful, not idle and wasted.

Women will be respected, not objectified.

Children will grow up hopeful that their dreams can come true within their own country.

I believe in a Nigeria of our dreams. The quest to build it starts now—with you and me.

May God bless Nigeria, and may God bless you and I.

2027: Sen. Ahmed Babba Kaita is the most qualified person to run for the Katsina State governorship position

2027: Sen. Ahmed Babba Kaita is the most qualified person to run for the Katsina State governorship position.

BY COMRADE MUSA MOHAMMED

Iwant to go on record as endorsing Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita for the office of the number one Citizen in Katsina State.

Babba Kaita a former Senator Katsina North, former Member |Kankia/Ingawa/Kusada , federal house of Representatives, where he worked and served effectively for more than a decade which he brings excellent credentials to the positions.

He is honest, reliable, and willing to serve the citizens of Katsina state heartedly.
I believe Babba Kaita, is the person best qualified to be the next governor comes 2027.

Beyond a doubt, SEN. AHMED BABBA KAITA, is the most qualified person to run for the Katsina State governorship position.

In all he does, BABBA KAITA exemplifies honesty, fairness, and thoughtfulness. He will use those qualities to rebuild and transforms Katsina State.

Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita is the only politician in recent times to display sense of humor, selflessness and readiness to break the jinx built long time ago by heartless politicians in order to achieve their selfish political ambitions. For instance, if you take employment provision, which has become a tool with which heartless politicians specialize in providing casual and contract brown collar jobs to the youths; they place the beneficiaries on a salary of N10,000 to N20,000 in a month. A salary of N10,000 to N20,000 will only push the beneficiary further deep into poverty as upon removing transport fare and feeding expenses from the money, the beneficiary will be left with nothing talk less of assisting other people. Such politicians are always in the media outlets to announce such demeaning jobs to the public; and are of the view that white collar jobs are exclusively reserved for their children and relatives.

Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita is a politician as well as statesman that has the intellect to lead, determination to work, courage to take harsh decisions for the betterment of the society as well as people living in it. If you take employment provision for example Sen. Babba Kaita has provided hundreds of white collar jobs to people of katsina state; this wonderful performance made his constituents to nick-named him “MAI GONAR OFFER”. He facilitated employment of high pay-in Federal Government agencies to teeming and deserving youths in Katsina state. A beneficiary of this kind gesture from Sen. Babba Kaita that I conversed with told me that the senator facilitated employment for him at Federal Inland Revenue Service in which his salary alone and entitlements are of six digits at month end. He further said within the two years he started working, he was able to marry, buy a car, own a plot of land and had the ability to assist people. Many of the youths that benefited from such employments from Sen. Babba Kaita are now living a more comfortable life as well as directly or indirectly helping other people in the society. Some of the federal government organizations he facilitated employment for youths in katsina state include TETFUND, FIRS, FUDMA, Nigerian Air force, Civil defence, FMC Katsina, Immigration Service, Military, NCC, prison service, Federal Poly Daura etc.

Northern Islamic Clerics Pray for Wike, Commend His Giant Strides in Abuja

Allege Sickness: Northern Islamic Clerics Pray for Wike, Commend His Giant Strides in Abuja

A group of Islamic clerics in Northern Islamic Cleric have offered special prayers for the speedy recovery of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following reports alleging that he has been battling with ill health.

The clerics, under the umbrella of the Council of Concerned Northern Ulamas, who converged on Kaduna for special prayers for the nation, ,extolled Wike’s leadership qualities and “giant developmental strides” since assuming office as FCT Minister.

Speaking after the prayer session, Sheikh Musa Abdullahi, one of the leading clerics, described Wike as “a pragmatic leader who has redefined governance in Abuja through infrastructure renewal, security enhancement, and people-oriented policies.”

He noted that although the minister has faced political attacks and rumours concerning his health, Nigerians should instead focus on supporting him to succeed in his national assignment.
