Comrade Musa Mohammed fault Tinubu’s ‘clannish’ appointments of film makers.

Comrade Musa Mohammed fault Tinubu’s ‘clannish’ appointments of film makers.

A member of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaduna state, Comrade Musa Mohammed has faulted the ‘clanish’ nature of appointments made by President Bola Tinubu since he assumed office on May 29.

Comrade Mohammed made his position known in a press statement issued to newsmen on Thursday in Kaduna.

Part of the statement reads;

Mr President, i want to call your attention as member of your party – the All Progressives Congress (APC) to express our deep concern about the perceived imbalances in your political appointments so far.

I understand that you are entitled to appoint people you trust and believe in, as a stakeholder in the All Progressive Congress (APC), under which you assumed office as President of Nigeria, reserve the right to urge you to consider the importance of appointing Politicians not film makers.

I need not remind you Mr. President, of the circumstances surrounding your election victory, to do the heavy lifting needed, votes-wise, for your victory. Shunning them for those APC members across nigeria who stood by and did pitifully little is not how to reward their tremendous labour of love on behalf of your successful aspiration.

Mr. President, we all know that the film makers are those people who did not stake their all during the elections, forgetting people who put in their all to help actualize your dream to become President.

Mr. President, i urge you to reconsider your approach to political appointments and to make a concerted effort and stop giving the film makers politcal appointment.

This is to ensure that good and capable Nigerians politicians who contributed during the 2023 presidential campaign have a fair chance to contribute to the development of our country through politcal appointment and to live in a united and prosperous nation.

One of the duties of the President is to ensure that the government is representative of the people. By appointing good and capable people, not those that can’t make any impact, you will be fulfilling this duty and living up to the oath you took as President. This is the only way to ensure that all Nigerians have a fair chance at contributing to the development of our country and to live in a united and prosperous nation.

Mr. President, kindly fix the “improper appointments of film makers” made by your administration so as not to add to the list of fault lines already threatening the advancement of the country.

“The practice smacks of nepotism, favouritism, sectionalism and tribalism. Nigerians must never encourage, promote, or tolerate it. The president should quickly retreat from this lack of pan-Nigerianism. As a nation, we are already grappling with serious existential challenges; improper appointments should not be one of them at all.”

I hope Mr. President, you will take action to Immediately, and address the issue raised.

Dollar crash: Wamakko tasks traders on compassion

Dollar crash: Wamakko tasks traders on compassion

Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has passionately appealed to traders in the country to ease the pains of inflation by selling goods at discounted rates.

The lawmaker’s appeal is coming in the wake of the crash of the dollar from an all-time rate of N1,900 down to N1,250, saying this 40% increase in Naira’s value offers a golden opportunity for traders to demonstrate their compassionate side as Nigerians.

Wamakko made the appeal during Ramadan breakfast with some senior officials of the Sokoto State Government and prominent people from the academia at his Gawon Nama Sokoto residence on Tuesday.

He said those traders who have been complaining that the rise in the value of dollar against the naira has made it difficult to bring down can now leverage on the new opportunity to demonstrate their compassion, especially in this holy month.

The lawmaker explained that the leadership of the traders’ association, especially in Sokoto state need to prevail on their members to lower the high costs of the goods to ease the suffering in the land, by taking advantage of government’s unrelenting efforts to revive the Naira.

It would be recalled that the naira, on Monday, appreciated to N1,250 per dollar at the parallel section of the foreign exchange (FX) market.

Isah Ashiru: A Model of Patience and Resilience in Politics

By Suleiman Abbah

Patience and calmness are two qualities that are often overlooked but play a crucial role in the success of candidates in elections in democracies all over the world. In the fast-paced and high-stress environment of political campaigns, it can be easy to get caught up in the chaos and lose sight of the bigger picture.

However, those candidates who are able to maintain a sense of calm and exhibit patience are often the ones who ultimately carry the day.

One such candidate who exemplified patience and calmness in the face of adversity is Isah Ashiru, who contested the governorship of Kaduna State in Nigeria in several elections.

Throughout his campaigns, Ashiru remained steadfast in his approach, never letting the ups and downs of the political landscape shake his resolve.

His calculated calmness and unwavering patience set him apart from other candidates and will ultimately serve him well in his bid for office.

In the world of politics, it is all too common for candidates to succumb to the pressures of the campaign trail. The constant scrutiny, the relentless attacks from opponents, and the unpredictable nature of the political arena can all take a toll on even the most seasoned politicians.

It is easy to see why some candidates may be tempted to lash out or respond impulsively in the face of criticism or adversity.

However, it is those candidates who are able to rise above these challenges and maintain a sense of composure who are ultimately successful.

This is because voters are more likely to trust and support a candidate who exhibits patience and calmness, as these qualities are often seen as indicators of strong leadership and the ability to handle pressure effectively.

Isah Ashiru’s calm and composed demeanor throughout his various campaigns for governor of Kaduna State demonstrated his ability to stay focused and level-headed even in the most challenging of circumstances. His patience in the face of setbacks and his unwavering dedication to his vision for the state earned him the respect and admiration of voters, and will ultimately lead to his success in winning the governorship.

Patience and calmness are essential qualities for candidates in elections in democracies all over the world.

The ability to remain composed and focused in the face of adversity can set candidates apart and ultimately lead to success at the polls. Isah Ashiru’s calculated calmness throughout his campaigns for governor of Kaduna State serves as a prime example of how these qualities can help candidates navigate the turbulent waters of political campaigns and ultimately emerge victorious.

GROUP TO UBA SANI: YOU’RE A UNIFYING FORCE FOR KADUNA

BREAKING: SOUTHERN KADUNA GROUP HAILS GOVERNOR UBA SANI’S TRANSPARENCY

The Southern Kaduna Progressives League (SKPL) has expressed profound delight at Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani’s, “uncommon style of people-oriented governance.”

Congratulating Governor Sani on his recent election as the Chairman of the North-West Progressive Governors Forum, SKPL noted “with profound admiration the uncommon passion he deploys to every sector of state administration towards genuinely advancing the course of the affairs of the Kaduna people without any sentiments.”

The group explained that “we, for instance, commend the transparency policy of Governor Uba Sani, as demonstrated during the Town Hall Meeting,” when he gave attendees the true picture of the Kaduna economy.

The group went on to praise him, “with the loudest of ovations, for the way and manner he transparently set up a committee for Tudun Biri and handed over the entire millions donated in the name of the survivors.”

2027: North needs Tinubu to develop region – Senator Shehu Sani

2027: North needs Tinubu to develop region – Senator Shehu Sani

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central) has said that Northern region of the country needs President Bola Tinubu in 2027 reelection to enable him develop the zone.

Sani, who said the country does not belong to one ethnic group, stressed that, “Power has resided so long in the north that it has become so toxic. Power in the North has not helped Northerners, the region is still backward in all aspects of human and capital development”.

Speaking during a dinner ( breaking Ramadan fast) held Saturday evening in Kaduna, Senator Sani said ,”Poverty and hunger have been so ‘weaponised’, to control the masses for self aggrandisement.

He called on all religious leaders across the country to shun selfish and mischievous politicians, who hide under guise of religion and ethnicity to divide the people, especially during elections.

“I want to advise northerners who are ganging up against President Tinubu, to instead support the government in the interest of progress and development of the north as against quest for return of power to the region.

“Politicians, who fail to secure appointment under Tinubu led government can’t manipulate us for personal interest. They have lost their sense of entitlements and now trying to weep sentiments of all kinds so as to be relevant”.

On issues of security challenges and dwindling economy , Senator Sani blamed former President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to improve on the economy and ensure adequate security of lives and property of the citizens.

“The whole security apparatus was controlled by northerners and Muslims, yet banditry and terrorism thrived under Buhari

“Many parents are afraid to send their children to school, because of fear of being kidnapped . We have heard of mosques raided and Imams kidnapped or killed by bandits .

“The clear message is that banditry and terrorism cause existential threats , with Kaduna as one State in the north facing serious problem of banditry and terrorism with the educational crippled in the rural areas .

He however said despite the current hardship and security situations, “the Tinubu administration has done better than Buhari’s years of docile actions against the notorious bandits and bad economy”.

He noted ,” The rescue of the Kuriga pupils, Tsangaya students and other kidnapped victims across the north in recent days by the National Security Adviser, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu; the Chief of Defence Staff and other security agencies deserve commendation, these are signs that there are some level of improvement in the security architecture”.

Senator Shehu Sani added that there is a need for clerics to avoid such Politicians, especially, those who have lost power and are now weeping all sorts of sentiments against government of the day.

While stating that clerics should use places of worship to preach messages of peace and unity as well as enlighten adherents on power of voting good leaders during elections, Senator Sani said democracy can only survive if there is equity; justice, progress and development”.

El-Rufai And Sons, A Treacherous Character

El-Rufai And Sons, A Treacherous Character.

By Comrade Musa Mohammed

Bashir El-Rufai; He’s a joker son, clearly. His father one of the worst governors ever in the history of Kaduna state.

How could we seat watching a son of former governor attacking governor Uba Sani ? Did he think we are still in the era where any indiscipline act can go unchallenged in Kaduna?

“Sen. Uba Sani is our pride, we don’t joke with him, he’s not a leader anybody can embarrass.

Mr. Bashir El-Rufai, your father should go and rest. He should start building political empire as being done by our leader, Senator Uba Sani. And if you guys feels you want to try the patience of UBA SANI Politcal family in Kaduna, you should go ahead with your threat. A word is enough for you all, if you are wise.

I want to fully assure the bespectacled pygmy and his father, that the “tales, folks, lies” will not give them the public support.

For your father as the then governor who has been unable to address the pervasive insecurity and genocide in Kaduna state during his two terms tenure as governor, for a man who has been unable to stem the tide of rampant kidnapping and abductions in Kaduna.

Let me tell you, Elrufai your biological father remains a typical establishment man, who was brought to limelight by the PDP, nurtured by the PDP. He is a dubious progressive and a bogus representation of change. If elrufai represent change, then Mabutu, Batista, Kamuzu Banda represent change. Elrufai is a bug, a lice and a parasite to kaduna politics and nigeria.

Elrufai is a foul air to any serious concept of change. Elrufai remains the excrement of the toilets of PDP wadata House and no broom or deodorant of change can give him a new identity.

I want Bashir El-Rufai to know that “His father tenure as governor of Kaduna state was nothing but a failure”.

“It was nothing but a total waste, he served as governor but without the actual knowledge of what governance is all about.

In kaduna State we know the antecedents of each and every one of us, having said that to say the least. Former Governor Nasiru El-Rufai with due respect is to my mind the worse governor that kaduna State has ever had.

I’m saying that because, if you check very well, there is no legacy that is attached to him, and if there is any legacy that is attached to him during the time he was governor, it’s good that it should be made known to us.

Senator Uba Sani experience as a sound politician is never contestable, that is why wee sees him as Elephants, who always showcase literally meaning of life, full of knowledge and understanding of livelihood not like Nasiru El-Rufai and his Family.

Despite the huge debt burden of 587 million dollars, 85 billion naira and 115 contracts liabilities sadly inherited from your father’s Maladministration, Uba Sani’s administration remain resolute in steering kaduna state towards progress and sustainable development.

Therefore; the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), should investigate Former governor Nasiru El-Rufai, his sons and cronies for looting and diversion of public funds.

The truth will actually prevailed, we will follow this through, and write petitions to EFCC and ICPC to ensure that they actually act.

We will make sure that EFCC and the ICPC act and beam their searchlight into what has happened to the over N500 billion of kaduna state funds from 2015 – 2023.

The public should know that the duo are expected to account for multi-billions kaduna public funds which includes statutory allocations, Ecological Funds etc, and other corrupt practices and misappropriation of state funds to the tune of over N500 billion.

The Anti-graft agencies should quickly and immediately investigate the former kaduna state governor, his sons, and cronies for offences bordering on misappropriation of public funds and money laundering.
